Methods Varied methods for all requirements A variety of hardening system and method enables Vogelsang to accommodate and adapt to your individual requirement. Vogelsang has the capacity to offer all types of hardening and tempering including water, oil, lead, and bainite hardening process. Vogelsang's strip steel can meet all potential requirements. To avoid decarbonization and oxidation, heat treatment always takes place in an inert-gas atmosphere. Hardened Vogelsang strip steel has the most exact tolerances for hardness, exact flatness (even very wide), and peak-to-valley surface roughness. |

Processing for the highest quality surface and edge conditions Vogelsang specializes in surface and edge process strip steel. The steel receives a high glass and a metalically pure surface. This is achieved by using high performance polishing machines and modern belt grinding machines. Brown, straw, or Blue Polished surfaces are achieved by controlled heat treating. Specialized processes are used for deburring edges, primary grinding, grinding and rolling, and shaping machines. |

Quality
Control for a consistently high standard of quality Each production step at Vogelsang is subjected to the strictest quality control. This includes tests of mechanical, technical, metallurgical and chemical properties of strip steel e.g., an in-line guage monitoring system (x-ray guage), microscopic grain-structure examinations, measurement of surface finish, and tensile strength tests. The final check by qualified technicians is also subject to strictest test criteria. By our administration of the controls, Vogelsang guarantees that our strip steel adheres to a consistent standard of high quality. |
